the freedom fellowship
The Freedom Fellowship is a culmination of worshippers from various faiths across the Metroplex, whose common denominators are to express a passion to praise our Lord and an earnest desire to provide outreach, engage in community activism, and encourage the hopeless by sharing our individual and collective testimonies in song.
The group founded its humble beginnings in 2014 as a community-based young adult ministry program at a local church. Their former minister of music, Justin White, accepted the challenge to develop and recruit members to promote the new ministry. However, within the first few outreach sessions, it was irrefutably apparent that God had predestined the ministry and gave the call for Justin to continue the work beyond the dissolution of the program. After much prayer, and by developing a clear vision for the future of the ministry and the fulfillment of God’s calling, The Freedom Fellowship was instituted.
Our Fellowship has since grown into a 40-voice choir, whose inspirational touch has reached out to places like the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Dallas, the Dallas Veterans Affairs Hospital, the Dallas Austin Street Center Shelter, Dallas’ Tent City, and a number of other community and charitable organizations.
The Freedom Fellowship wishes to expand and spread the message to live FREE on a local, regional, national, and global level. This goal is a step closer to actualization after a video performance piece entitled “Do It For Me” was shared with representatives of MannaTech, Inc., a multinational multi-level marketing firm, headquartered in Coppell, Texas. MannaTech, Inc. requested permission to allow the song to serve as the theme song for their newly revised “Mission 5 Million (M5M) Foundation Campaign,” in 2015. This has enabled the group’s Mission and Message to not only spread throughout the DFW Metroplex, but to inspire others all over the nation and parts of the world.
On October 15, 2018 The Freedom Fellowship released a single entitled "Overcomer", a song with a message the communicates the entirety of our organization's message!
